Volunteer

Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity provides opportunities for organizations and thousands of individuals to take action in the fight against substandard housing. Working together to help people become successful homeowners creates stability in the community.

There is a wide range of opportunities available for groups and individuals:

Individual Construction Volunteer
Construction Volunteers are essential for helping the Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity achieve its mission. Those who participate in the construction of a home help to provide the opportunity for a family in need to have a decent and affordable place to call home.

Corporate Team Building Program
The Team Building Program is a way for groups to take a day out of the office to work together as a team. The group will have to communicate, cooperate and get the job done. No construction skills or tools are required.

Group Volunteering
If your social group, organization, school, or church group is interested in doing rewarding work, consider a day at a Habitat construction site. We schedule groups year round with winter work being done inside the home. All tools and supplies are provided.

Habitat Non-Construction Volunteer
There are several ways to volunteer that do not involve actual construction. For instance, Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity has volunteer opportunities for our ReStore, family outreach, fundraising and more.
